Welcome to Masaka School of Comprehensive Nursing
The school was started by the Uganda protectorate government as a nursing school to train the Second World War veterans. The Uganda Protectorate Government started Masaka School Of Comprehensive Nursing in 1946 as a training institution for ex—service men that had served in World War II, to offer them medical skills. Initially the school was part of Masaka Hospital until in 1998 when it was transferred to the Ministry of Education and Sports. The core mandate of the School is to train a nurse who, upon graduation, can be able to provide comprehensive nursing services to communities, homes, schools, industries, hospitals and other institutions. The vision of Masaka School of Comprehensive Nursing is to be an internationally reputable nursing training institution. The mission of Masaka School of Comprehensive Nursing is to produce a competent and committed comprehensive nurse. The Core values of the school that provide guidance in order to realize the institutional vision and mission are: Collective Responsibility, Commitment.
